If the control module fails the self-test, a white
cross inside a red circle is displayed
accompanied by a full alarm signal from the
piezo speakers.
An alarm code is displayed below the red
circle.
The control module will fail to operate.
The operator must complete these steps.
1.
Note the alarm code displayed on the LCD screen.
2.
Remove the battery from the power module.
3.
De-pressurise the set.
4.
Press the red PARK button on the demand valve.
5.
Wait five seconds.
6.
Reinsert the battery.
7.
Open the cylinder valve.
8.
Recommence the start-up test.
If the red cross is displayed and a full alarm activates, shut the BA down as
above and return set to the State PPE&C Department with a fault report
noting the observed alarm code.
2.3 Check that the pressure gauge light and LCD
screen come on when the control module is
lifted up.
