2.8 Observe the pressure gauge for one minute to ensure the pressure in the BA
does not drop more than 10 bar.
If test fails, complete these steps.
1. Release the pressure in the BA by operating the PURGE button.
2. Place the BA in PARK mode by depressing the red button on the bottom
side of the demand valve.
3. Remove the cylinder.
4. Check the high-pressure O-ring is present and correctly seated.
5. Check there is no debris in the valve or cylinder connection assembly.
6. Reconnect the cylinder.
7. Conduct check again.
If test continues to fail, return set to the State PPE&C Management Centre
with a fault report.
3 Motion and manual alarm checks.
3.1 Allow the control module to remain motionless
for approximately 17.5 seconds to activate the
pre-motion alarm.
Listen and observe the following:
power module to sound repeated tones of
the control module pre-alarm;
check the buddy lights on the control
module are flashing red;
check the red triangle LED is flashing in the
HUD; and
check the pre-alarm icon is displayed on the
primary screen of the control module.
3.2 Shake the control module to reset the alarm before the BA goes into full
alarm.
