Also, check the chain, use the manual disconnect to move the gate manually, and ensure the gate moves easily from limit to limit, repairing the gate as needed. If the gate is too difficult to move, repair it as needed. The gate must move easily and freely through its entire range, limit-to-limit; repair the gate as needed.

Ensure that the stop button is not active and that the reset switch is not set to RESET. If operating on battery power, ensure the batteries are adequately charged. Also, verify that the Entrapment Protection Device and any vehicle loop detectors or probes are not active. If problems persist, the control board may be defective and require replacement.
