If your Checkpoint Security System is alarming continually, ensure that tagged articles and metallic objects are not within 6 feet of the antenna. Also, check for nearby cables, faulty lights, or damage to the antenna. In extreme cases, the antenna can be disabled, and a Checkpoint engineer should be called.

      Megan JordanAug 17, 2025
If your Checkpoint Security System antenna isn't alarming when tested with labels/tags, first check if the red light is illuminated on the badge board at the base of the pedestal. Then, use the provided key to check if the system is enabled. To enable the system, turn the switch clockwise for 1 second and return to the center. The LED will blink slowly for 20 seconds and then go solid. To disable the system, turn the switch clockwise for 4 seconds, then return to the center; the LED will blink rapidly for 20 seconds before going solid. If the light is on and the system is enabled, re-test the system. If the issue persists, contact the Checkpoint Systems service desk.

If your Checkpoint deactivation unit is malfunctioning, verify that items are being deactivated within the specified range. Ensure the unit is switched on (a green light should be illuminated) and that all cables are securely connected. Also, make sure there are no tags in the area of deactivation. Test the deactivator with the Omni (if applicable) or using a test tag. If problems continue, call a Checkpoint engineer.
