Chapter 7 Configuring vPCs
Default Settings
• If you configure OSPF in a vPC environment, use the following timer commands in router
configuration mode on the core switch to ensure fast OSPF convergence when a vPC peer link is
shut down:
switch (config-router)# timers throttle spf 1 50 50
switch (config-router)# timers lsa-arrival 10

further details about OSPF.
• BFD for HSRP is not supported in a vPC environment.
• The STP port cost is fixed to 200 in a vPC environment.
• A single vPC domain between two VDCs on the same physical Cisco Nexus 7000 device is not
supported.
