Understanding Line and Call Icons
This is what your main phone screen looks like with two active calls, one on hold (23827) and another
connected (3956933).
Your phone displays these icons to help you determine the line and call state.

Phone Status line Icons and your directory number

Call Activity area Calling party information, connection duration, and call state icon

Status line Status of the selected line

Softkey labels Call feature and Options list
Icon Line or call state Description
On-hook line No call activity on this line.
Off-hook line Line in use, but not connected to a call.
Connected call You are connected to the other party.
Incoming call A call is ringing on one of your lines.
Remote line in use A shared line is in use remotely. See Using a Shared Line, page 49.
Call on hold You have put this call on hold. See Using Hold and Resume,
page 34.
Call forward
enabled
You have forwarded your primary line. See Forwarding All Calls
to Another Number, page 38.
