• Turn the device off by disconnecting the power.
• Press and hold the * key, then power on the phone.
• Keep the * key held until the Mute LED turns off.
• Once the Mute LED turns off, release the * key.
• The Cisco IP Phone 8861 or 8865 will then boot using the alternate image.
Capturing a Screenshot of the Phone Display
The current display of the Cisco IP Phone 8861 or 8865 can be captured by browsing to http://x.x.x.x/CGI/Screenshot, where
x.x.x.x is the IP address of the Cisco IP Phone 8861 or 8865. At the prompt enter the username and password for the account
that the Cisco IP Phone is associated to in Cisco Unified Communications Manager.
