  The 'DSP SPA: A hardware device error was detected' message on your Cisco Network Router indicates that the DSP firmware was not downloaded to SPA-DSP. DSP firmware is a software that performs all DSP services and is downloaded from SIP to the SPA-DSP. To fix this, reload the SPA-DSP using the `hw-module subslot slot/subslot reload` command from privilege exec command mode.
