3 Cisco ASR 1002-F Router Overview
The Cisco ASR 1002-F (Fixed) Router is one of the Cisco ASR 1000 Series Aggregation Services Routers. It is the smallest router
that supports all the general-purpose routing and security features of the Cisco ASR 1002 Routers. It uses the same internal
control and data-plane architecture as the Cisco ASR 1002 Router. For detailed information about the Cisco ASR 1002-F
Router, see Cisco ASR 1000 Series Aggregation Services Routers Hardware Installation Guide. Figure 1 shows the front of the
Cisco ASR 1002-F Router.
