3.2.3 Disassembly of Platen Assembly
(1) Removing platen assembly
• Remove the platen assembly by removing the two
M3 × 10 tapping (ST) screws.
Fixed blade
E ring (E4)
M3 × 10 (ST)
(2) Removing fixed blade.
• Remove the fixed blade by removing the M2 × 4
screw.
M2 × 4 (BT)
(3) Removing platen assembly
• Remove the E ring (E4) from the inside of the
platen gear.
• Shift the platen bushing of the platen gear to the
rubber roller side to remove it from the platen
holder.
• Removing platen assembly
* Note that the bushing at the opposite side of the
gear, when removed from the holder, may become
free.
