Connecting a USB Device
The function assigned to each USB port differs.
Connect the USB device to be connected to the correct place in reference to the fol-
lowing gure.

1. For peripheral device control
Connect a peripheral device.
The connected peripheral device can be controlled.
2. For host computer communication
Connect with a host computer.
The printer and host computer will communicate via USB.

3. For supplying power
Connect a mobile device or other USB device.
Power can be supplied to a connected USB device.
* This port does not support USB data communication.
