When you switch on the ignition,
the instrument panel displays :
- the maintenance indicator,
- the engine oil level indicator,
- the total mileage recoder,
- then the trip mileage recoder.
Engine oil level indicator
When you switch on the ignition, the maintenance indicator displays for a
few seconds (see « Maintenance indicator »), then the engine oil level is
displayed, also for a few seconds.
Note : to make sure that the measurement is reliable, check the oil level
on horizontal ground, with the engine having been stopped for at least
15 minutes.
This display indicates normal operation.
A flashing of «OIL» indicates that the oil level is
below minimum.
Check with the manual dipstick. See «Levels».
If the low level is confirmed, contact a CITROËN
dealer.
A flashing of «OIL ----» indicates a problem with
the indicator. Contact a CITROËN dealer.
