It informs you when the next routine service is due in accordance with the vehicle servicing schedule in
the Maintenance Guide. This information is dependent on two parameters: the mileage covered, and the
time elapsed since the last visit.
Operation
From switching on the ignition and
for a few seconds, the spanner
symbolising maintenance opera-
tions lights up; the total mileage
recorder display tells you the dis-
tance remaining to the next serv-
ice (in thousands and hundreds of
kilometres, or miles).
Example : before the next service
you can still travel :
Operation if the distance
remaining to the next service
is less than 1 000 km
(approx. 600 miles)
Each time you switch on the igni-
tion and for 5 seconds, the symbol
and the distance flash.
Example : There remain up to the
next service : 900 km (or miles).
On switching on the ignition and
for 5 seconds, the instrument pan-
el indicates :
Operation if the service interval
has been exceeded
Each time you switch on the igni-
tion, the maintenance symbol and
the distance covered (preceded
by a minus) beyond the recom-
mended interval flash.
Example : You have passed the
service interval by 300 km (or miles).
The routine service on your vehi-
cle needs to be carried as soon as
possible.
A few seconds after that, the total
mileage recorder display appears.
A few seconds after that, the total
mileage recorder display appears
and the the maintenance symbol
remains lit up.
A few seconds after switching on
the ignition, the total mileage re-
corder resumes its normal role
and the maintenance symbol re-
mains lit up.
