Breathe normally and the CleanSpace respirator
will start. When air is flowing into the mask, join
the AirClips on the left-hand side to close the
system.
IMPORTANT: If the motor does not start, check
the system is in Standby Mode (green battery
indicators on). Take the power unit off, press the
Power button to activate Standby Mode and don
again as described above.
NOTE! If you cannot connect the air clips on both sides because the power unit pulls up tight against the back of
your neck, swap the neck support to a larger size ā or remove the neck support entirely. See above. Then start
the power unit donning process again.
The power unit can rest loosely or be carried
close to the neck. By adjusting the bellows on
either side of the power unit you can change its
position to suit your requirements.
Jogging movements:
Wear the power unit
snugly against your neck.
Looking up:
Wear the power unit away from
your neck.
To adjust the respirator, use the loosen/adjust
system on the sides near the bellows.
To tighten: Steady the mask with one hand and
press on the back of the power unit with the
other. You will hear clicking as the adjust
mechanism moves to the new position.
To loosen: Press the adjust buttons on each
side and pull backwards on the power unit to
move it away from the back of the neck.
14. Entering and Exiting the Contaminated Area
Prior to entering the contaminated area, complete the inspections and checks listed in these user instructions.
1. Ensure Seal Check has been done and motor is responding to your breathing.
2. Check no alarms (battery or filter) are sounding or flashing. If your work environment is noisy you may be
unable to hear the alarms. In this case you must follow the special precautions set out in Section
15.
3. Don the respirator. Check other PPE is being worn if required. Enter the contaminated area.
4. Do not remove the respirator until you have left the contaminated area. If you have an acute and
spontaneous health episode (i.e. experiencing dizziness) and believe removing the respirator while you
leave the contaminated area may help, remove the respirator with caution.
5. Leave the contaminated area immediately if any of the following conditions occur:
a. Battery or filter alarms trigger.
b. Any part of the system is damaged.
c. Airflow into the mask decreases or stops.
d. Breathing becomes difficult.
e. You feel dizzy or your vision is impaired.
