TERMINAL EVOLUTION
The shield on the shielded cable is earthed at a single point in the
network.
Earthing the cable at different points in the network may cause
control malfunctions.
The connection must be made, where possible, by fastening the
cable with a metal clamp, as shown in the figure on the left.
Alternatively, use the twisted end of the shield, as long as the
length of the earthed shield is a short as possible and a locking
washer is used (figure on the right).
The following pages shows the diagrams for a series of boards
connected to the network, powered by the transformers
installed in the electrical panel for each unit.
