3.4 Alarm connector
A 6-pin male connector is located in the lower right corner of the rear panel. This
alarm connector is connected internally to a relay such that pins 3 and 4 of the
connector have continuity at all times except when the unit has an alarm condition.
Pins 3 and 4 basically break contact if the main screen status button is flashing
(alarm condition). During an alarm condition pin 1 becomes connected to pin 2
through the relay. This setup allows users to electrically sense alarm conditions so
that warning devices or other equipment can be activated. Pin 5 of the connector
has +12 VDC which is capable of sourcing 250 mA. Pin 6 is the 12#V Return.
