8.1 Legacy Modbus coils
The following list provides coil write examples for the following coils in the unit.
Note that Modbus coil numbers are offset from the address by 1. These have been
replaced starting in DIGI firmware version 1.09 by new coil addresses which can be
written to and read from the same coil number.

8.2 Legacy Modbus® Diagnostic Functions
The Modbus
diagnostic Function is used to Set/Read information from the particle
counter. The list of commands below, may be used to configure the particle counter.
Example command strings (shown in hexadecimal format) are provided after the
tables to aid the user in understanding how Modbus
diagnostics is implemented.
Modbus diagnostic functions are not used as commonly as the coil and register
functions covered in the Ethernet Interface section of this manual.
