4.Pin6GreenWire:Accessthecontrollerbyremovingtheaccesspanelintherearbody.SeefollowingNOTE.
NOTE:TheeasiestwaytotestthekeyswitchandMCORLimitSwitchistocheckthepin6greenwireinthe16-pin
connector.Pin6istheendofthiscircuit.
4.1.Locateandconnectaninsulation-piercingprobetothepin6greenwireinthe16-pinconnector.
4.2.WiththekeyswitchintheOFFpositionandtheacceleratorpedalatrest,thegreenwireshouldshow
zero(0)volts.
4.3.WiththekeyswitchintheONpositionandtheacceleratorpedalpressed,thegreenwireshouldshow
BPVwhichisFOOTINPUTtocontroller.
–IfitshowsBPV,thenthekeyswitch,MCORandrelatedwiringisfunctioningproperly.
–Ifnot,rstcheckthekeyswitchandthentheMCORlimitswitch.
5.KeySwitch:Removeinstrumentpaneltoaccessthebackofthekeyswitchbutdonotdisconnectwires.
SeeKeySwitchRemoval,Section13,Page13-1.
5.1.WiththekeyswitchintheOFFposition:
–ThegreenwireshouldshowBPVcomingtotheswitch.
–Thebluewireshouldshowzero(0)volts.IfitshowsBPV,theswitchhasfailedCLOSEDandmust
bereplaced.
5.2.WiththekeyswitchintheONposition:
–ThebluewireshouldshowBPVpassingthroughthekeyswitchtotheMCOR.IfitdoesnotshowBPV,
theswitchhasfailedOPENandmustbereplaced.
6.MCORLimitSwitch(FOOTINPUT):RemoveoormatandcoverplatetoaccesstheMCOR.SeePedalGroup

6.1.WiththekeyswitchintheONposition:
–Withaninsulation-piercingprobe,checkvoltageofthebluewireintheMCOR2-pinconnector.Itshould
showBPVcomingtotheMCOR.Ifnot,checkwiring.
–Withaninsulation-piercingprobe,checkvoltageofthegreenwireintheMCOR2-pinconnector.Itshould
showzero(0)voltswiththeacceleratorpedalatrest.Presstheacceleratorpedalandthegreenwire
shouldshowBPVpassingthroughtheMCORtothecontrollerforFOOTINPUT .Ifnot,replaceMCOR.

NOTE:Thisisavoltagetest.
TheForward/ReverseSwitchprovidesFORWARDINPUTandREVERSEINPUTtothecontroller.
IfthecontrollerseesbothFORWARDINPUTandREVERSEINPUTatthesametime,thereversebuzzerwill
soundinallFNRpositionsandthevehiclewillnotoperateineitherdirection.Commoncausesofthisinclude
corrosionacrossthecontactsinsidetheswitch,waterinsidetheswitch,oraswitchthathasfailedCLOSED.
Forward/ReverseRockerSwitchTestwiththeCDTHandset
1.TurnthekeyswitchtotheOFFpositionandplacetheForward/ReverseswitchintheNEUTRALposition.
2.ConnecttheCDTtothevehicle.
3.TestFORWARDINPUT.
3.1.AccesstheMonitormenuandselectFORWARDINPUTbyusingtheSCROLLDISPLAYbuttons.TheCDT
shouldindicateOFFwhentheForward/ReverseswitchisintheNEUTRALorREVERSEposition.
