FLYWHEELREMOVAL
1.Removescrews(1)andfanhousing(2)(Figure20-8,Page20-11).
2.Holdywheel(4)only,notfan(7),withstrapwrench(5)andusea24mmsockettoremoveywheelnut(8)and
atwasher(9)byturningitcounterclockwise(Figure20-9,Page20-12).SeefollowingCAUTION.
CAUTION
•Theywheelnuthasright-handthreads.Turnitclockwisetotighten,orcounterclockwisetoloosen.
•Donotdamagethefanbladeswiththestrapwrench.Donotplacescrewdriverorprybarinthe
fanblades.
3.Temporarilyinstallywheelnut(8)ontoendofcrankshafttoprotectthreadsandtopreventywheel(4)from
fallingoffwhilebeingpulled.
4.Detachywheel(4)fromcrankshaftwithalarge,two-jawpuller.
5.Removeywheelnut(8)andywheel(4)fromcrankshaft.
6.Removewoodruffkey(10)fromgrooveincrankshaft.
