Symptom Cause Remedy
Unable to play a
disc
The disc is loaded incor-
rectly in the disc tray
Check that the disc is placed in
the disc tray with its label side
upwards.
The disc is incompatible
with the unit.
Load a compatible disc. Refer to
the About Optical Discs section of
this manual to review disc compat-
ibility requirements.
The rating of the disc is
higher than permitted
by the parental control
rating.
Reset or lower the Parental Control
settings in the
System Setup menu.
The disc is dirty. Clean the disc.
The buttons on the
unit don’t work
Static electricity may
have interfered tempo-
rarily with the operation
of the unit.
Switch o and unplug the unit.
Then connect the unit to the AC
supply and switch it on again.
