Removal and Replacement
Processor Retainer Clips
(Refers only to Pentium III models 5716, 5717, 5718, 5722, 5726, 5728, 5733, and 5745)
Disassembly Sequence
Chassis

Front I/O Cable

Fan
Option Card Retainer
Graphics Board

Networking Interface Card

Processor
Removal
1.
Perform the preparation for disassembly
procedures.
2.
Remove the Chassis.
3.
Disconnect Baffle from Fan.
4.
Remove the Processor.
5. Loosen four push pins from the processor
retainer clips. (Note: Use needle nose pliers
or similar tool to remove push pins).
6. Remove the processor retention clips.
Replacement
To replace the processor retention clips,
reverse the removal procedure.
