Set the focusing
mode
to
"CAF".

Aim the horizontal
split-image
spot at
the subject
you
want to focus,
and depress the shutter
release halfway.
Focusing
is
effected
continously
while the
shutter
release
is
depressed halfway.
r When
pressing
the F-Button
while the
shutter release
is
depressed halfway, the focus
is locked.
At that
time,
the
underside
bar on the
back
focusing
scale blinks.

Make
sure
the
sharp-focus mark
"o"
is
on
and
take
your picture
by depressing the
shutter
release
all
the
way.
o
The
electronic
sound does
not
sound
even
if
the sharp-
focus mark
turns
on.
o When
shooting in the
drive
mode "CL,
CH",
pictures
are
taken
continuously while focusing
is
effected
continuously.
o The focusing
may not follow
continuously depending
on the movement
or change of the
subject.
