6. Cleaning and disinfection
Clean a ll areas that come i n contact wi th user or caregi ver wi th a
disinfectant solution.
To prevent the spread of germs, disinfectant wipes should be used on a
regular basi s. Keep frame dry and apply a non-toxi c, hypoallergeni c and
biodegradable lubricant to all moving parts. After longer storage periods,
and before further use, the entire chair needs to be serviced, cleaned and
disinfected. Follow the guidelines of each country and region.
Cleaning of frame:
Frame i s to be kept dry and free of di rt and should be wi ped off wi th a
non-toxi c, hypoallergeni c and bi odegradable lubri cant. Lubri cant should
be applied to moving parts as needed to maintain easy folding and
adjustment.
All contact with salt water should be avoided. If the chair is used in salt-
water environments, corrosion may occur. In the event of salt-water
exposure, the frame should be wi ped off wi th a moi st towel a s soon a s
possible. Water and a soft cloth are sufficient; lubricant should be reap-
pli ed to all movi ng parts.
