Function Description

The CURT Rebellion™ XD is an adjustable shank system designed to connect a trailer to a towing vehicle's hitch receiver. Its primary function is to provide a secure and adaptable connection, allowing users to adjust the ball height to match various trailer requirements. The system incorporates a dual ball, offering two different ball sizes (2" and 2-5/16") to accommodate trailers with different coupler sizes. A key feature of the Rebellion™ XD dual ball accessory is its built-in anti-rattle mechanism, located in the channel on the backside, which helps to keep the towing system quiet during operation. The system is designed for ease of installation and adjustment, ensuring optimal performance and safety during towing.

Adjustable Ball Height: The system allows for easy adjustment of the ball height to ensure the trailer is level when connected to the towing vehicle. This is achieved by sliding the dual ball mount along the adjustable shank and aligning it with the appropriate holes.

Dual Ball Design: The inclusion of a dual ball provides versatility, allowing the user to switch between a 2" and a 2-5/16" ball to accommodate different trailer coupler sizes without needing to change the entire ball mount.

Anti-Rattle Feature: The Rebellion™ XD dual ball accessory is equipped with a built-in anti-rattle mechanism to minimize noise and movement within the towing system, contributing to a quieter towing experience.

Installation Process:

Insert into Trailer Hitch: The shank (sold separately) is first inserted into the trailer hitch receiver and secured with a hitch pin and clip (sold separately).
Determine Required Ball Height: The proper ball height is determined by leveling the trailer and measuring the distance from the bottom of the trailer tongue to the ground. The dual ball is then positioned on the adjustable shank at the hole closest to this measurement.
Attach the Dual Ball: The dual ball mount is slid onto the shank and aligned with the selected hole locations. The mount is angled slightly upwards and pressed toward the shank. Pins are then inserted into the top and bottom mount holes. For the highest mounting position, the bottom pin is installed first with the mount angled downward, then force is applied upwards to install the second pin. All pins are secured with the included clips.
