6. Route the LAP and SHOULDER PORTIONS of the
vehicle belt through BASE BELT PATH opening, under the
SafeLock Belt Tensioner, under the tabs on the blue Belt
Guides, and through other BASE BELT PATH opening.
BUCKLE THE BELT. Make sure the belts lie at and are not
twisted.
The vehicle belt should ALWAYS be routed UNDER the
SafeLock Belt Tensioner and the tabs on the Belt Guides.
NEVER place a vehicle belt over the SafeLock Belt
Tensioner or the tabs on the Belt Guides, even in a vehicle
with longer buckle stalks.
NOTE: Make sure that vehicle belt buckle and hardware do not interfere with correct
installation of the Base or with the connection of the Infant Car Seat to the Base.
7. On the Buckle side, rst lift up on the
SHOULDER PORTION of the vehicle belt to
remove slack in the LAP PORTION A. Then
remove slack from the Shoulder Belt on the
opposite side B.
Be careful not to overtighten. The SafeLock
Belt Tensioner will tighten the system fully.
