The DISTYAMP, short for Distribution-Amplifier, makes it easier to run the modular cable

around your layout especially if it is large or irregularly shaped and if you have more than 5

ZoneMaster Boosters. It allows the one single Command Station BOOSTERS modular jack to

expand to 4 independent BOOSTERS modular jack.

The DISTYAMP features 4 independent modular cable ZoneMaster drivers and jacks. Each of

the 4 drivers has the same capability as the Command Station’s one ZoneMaster driver. All

integrated circuits are mounted in their own sockets - just in case. Additional protection is

provided to reduce the chances of driver damage should electrical storms frequent your area.

Mounting The DISTYAMP

Mount the DISTYAMP near the Command Station. There are 3 mounting holes in the small

circuit board so it can easily mount under the layout. This is a low power circuit so it can be

mounted on a section of the wooden benchwork.

The DISTYAMP comes with its own universal power supply having an output voltage of

+5VDC at 1.5 amps. The power supply plugs into any AC line from 95 to 240VAC. Plug in the

power supply and verify the DISTYAMP’s green power LED is on.

Hooking Up The DISTYAMP

Plug a modular cable into the Command Station’s BOOSTER jack and connect it to the

DISTYAMP’s input jack.

Use DATA style modular cable to connect the ZoneMasters back to the DISTYAMP.

Up to 5 ZoneMaster boosters can connect to one of the DISTYAMP’s outputs. Each booster

connects, daisychain fashion, to the next booster. Limit the modular cable run to about a hundred

feet. This is just a guideline so longer is OK.
