The Command Station’s Home Page
This is your Command Station’s home page. It shows some useful items regarding your system.
These items are very useful when it comes time to call us for some help. Take a few moments to
learn what these items mean and their importance.
V=631 The Software Version Number
This is the version of software being used in the Command Station. Version 6 is the latest version
and the xx is the revision level. As of the printing date of this manual, V631 is in production. If
you call us for help, we will need to know the V number in your Command Station.
T=00 Number of Active Throttles
The Command Station keeps track of the number of “active” throttles. An active throttle is
simply one that has the speed control turned up and is controlling a locomotive. Any throttle
automatically becomes active the moment it is plugged-in or turned on and the speed control is
advanced.
The count of active throttles goes up and down automatically. The highest number for T is 31.
The lowest number is 0 which only means that there are no active throttles being processed.
M=255 Number of Available Locomotive Memory Slots
The Command Station starts with 255 memory slots which is shown in the M counter. As new
locomotives are controlled by throttles or when new locomotives are added to consists, a memort
slot is automatically assigned to the new locomotive.
After a long period of use, you may be surprised to find that the M counter is nearing 0. This is not
a problem and there are simple methods to remove bad or unused locomotives. This is discussed
later in the advanced topics section. For now, this number can be ignored
Built-In Throttles A= ---- and B = -----
These are the two built-in throttles and will show their current locomotive assignment. If not
used, dashes will show.
Home Page Is The Default Screen
The home page is what the Command Station shows after power is first turned on or following
programming or other Command Station actions. In almost all cases, pushing the ESC key while
in the middle of such actions will cancel the action and return to the home page.
