How To Use Step-By-Step Examples - continued
Sometimes, we use a single line to include multiple keystrokes. Locomotive numbers are a good
example. In the following example, the locomotive number 1935 is entered as a series of
keystrokes and the enter key is pressed. To save space, they are shown on one line. Notice that
each number has a box as well as the ENT key.
m1, 9, 3, 5, ¨ENT
Using The Keyboard
Each key is a simple “click” key. They work best if you “smartly” push and then release the key. If
you push or tap it too quickly, the command station may not “see” or respond to the key push. If
you hold the key too long, multiple entries may result. If you make a mistake, push the ESC key
and start over.
Important Points To Remember
We will put special instructions, precautions and troubleshooting tips into a box at the bottom of
the page. Be sure to read these since they usually are the result of a phone call from a fellow
EASYDCC user. Their question prompted the special note to help explain something unusual or
non-obvious.
