Therackisalengthofsteelthathasnylonteethattachedtoit.Therackisatt achedtothegateby
meansofTEKscrews.Therackmeshes withthepiniongearonthemotorwhichthendrivesthe
gate.
Itisveryimportantthattherackismountedsecurelyandthatther ackmesheswiththepiniongear
forthefulllengthofthegate.Anysectionofrackt hatistootightortooloosewillcauseproblems
withtheoperationofthegate.
Step1:ensurethatthemotorisatleast7mmabovethegroundlevelandthatthegateisinthe
clos edposition.FigA
Step2:placeapieceoftherackonth epinionofthemotor, ensuringthatt heteethoftherackand
thepinionmeshcorrectly.
Step3:nowfastentheracktothegateusingtheTEKscrews.TheTEKscrewshouldbeplacedin
thecentreoftheslotin theracksoasto allowforadjustmentlater.FIGB
Step4:pushthegatetowardstheopenpositioncontinuingtosecuretheracktothefulllengthof
thegate.Ensurethattherackissecurelymeshedwiththepinionatalltimesduringthisoperation.
Repeatstep4untilthefulllengthofrackisattached tothegate.
Step5:usingthejackupboltsund erthemotor,dropthemotor2mm,thisallowsaslightgapbe
tweentheteethoftherackandthepinionsoastopreventanybindingortightspotsontherac k.

Step6:pushthegateallthewayopenandclosedtocheckthattherackismeshingwiththepinion
forthecompletelengthofthegate.
Checkthattherackisnottouchingthemotorwhilerunningandalsocheckthattherackcoversat
leastthreequartersofthepinionatalltimes whenviewedfromabove.
Startwith7mmspace
Dropmotorby2mmwhen
rackissecuredtogate.
