Themotormustb eprogrammedinorderthatthegateoperatecorrectly.Onceprogrammingiscom
plete,theprogramisheldinthememoryonthemicrochipandthereisnoneedtoreprogramt hemotor
aftertheinitialprogram.
Itisimportanttonotethatthefollowingpointsshouldbecheckedb eforethegateisprogrammed.
· Gearboxisfilledwiththegearboxoil.
· Motorislevel.
· Rackissecuretothegate andengagedwiththepiniongear.
· Thegatehasadequateendstops.(DONOTautomateagatewithoutendstops)
· ThegatemustrunfreelyandnotjamatANYpointinitstravel.
· Themagnetismountedcorrectly.
TOPROGRAMTHEMOTOR:
Ensurethatallpowerisremovedfromtheboard.
TheLCDscreenisdesignedtoassistwiththeprogrammingofthemotor.
Step1:manuallyopenthegate1m1.5m.
Step2:engagethemotorusingthethumbwheel.
Step3:have dip switch 1 & 2 in the 'ON' position
Step4:applythebatterypower.ThethreeLED’swillflashrapidly.TheLCDwillsay
“PROGRAMMODEPRESSBUTTON”
Step5:presstheTESTbuttononthePCboard.Thegatewillautomaticallydothefollowing:
a) Closeslowlyuntiltheendstopisstruck
b) Open
slowlyuntiltheendstopisstruck.
Step7:afterclosingitwillautomaticallyreopen.Now the LCD screen will say 'PUT SW 1 OFF' The
motorisnowfullyprogrammedandreadyfornormaluse.
InStep6thegatemustcloseaftertriggeringthemotor.Ifthegateopensinsteaditindicatesthatthe
motorwiresneedtobereversed.Thiswillchangethemotordirection.{SeeSettingthemotordirection}
Donotconnectanyauxiliarywirestotheboarduntilthemotorisfullyprogrammed.
