Section 3 - Getting Started
Once the DIR-869 has been properly set up as an Access Point in Extender Mode as detailed in Section 2 - Installation, no further
conguration is necessary in most cases. You may connect wired devices using Ethernet cables or connect wireless devices using
the default wireless credentials printed on the Wi-Fi Conguration card. For more information about connecting wireless devices,
refer to Connect a Wireless Client to your Router on page 104.
If you want to make changes to the default Access Point settings, such as the wireless network names or passwords, or need to
perform advanced conguration setup you can do so using the web conguration utility. The web conguration utility has two
main sections.
• D-Link Setup Wizard - This wizard will launch when you log in for the rst time if no Internet connection is detected.
Refer to page 32.
• Manual Setup - Log in and manually congure your device. Refer to Conguration - Extender Mode - Access Point
on page 90.
