CAUTION
To guarantee the unit is completely earthed, always connect the backup heater
power supply and the earth cable.
Connect the power supply of the backup heater as follows:
1 Open the service cover. See "To open the outdoor unit"[472].
2 Connect the power supply cable (including earth) to the appropriate terminals
as shown in the illustration below.

3 Fix the cable with cable ties to the cable tie mountings.
9.2.4 External backup heater kit
For models without integrated backup heater, you can install the external backup
heater kit (EKLBUHCB6W1).
If you do so, then under certain conditions you also need to install a bypass valve
kit (EKMBHBP1).
