Issue Possible causes Known solutions
Bob Casette cannot be
inserted.
The safety caps has not yet
been removed.
Remove the safety cap before
inserting Bob cassette (see
page18)
The cassette is inserted
upside down.
Insert Bob cassette with the text
in reading direction.
The inside of Bob cassette’s
lot is blocked.
Do not put anything other than
a Bob cassette in the dedicated
lot.
If you use a detergent other than
Bob cassette, put it directly into
Bob’s main interior
Bob does not recognise
the Bob cassette.
Communication error
between the cassette and
your Bob.
Take the cassette, restart your
Bob and insert it again.
If the problem persists, try
inserting a new Bob cassette.
Bad smell (inside the tank)
Bob has not been used for
a long time.
Drain your Bob completely with
the emptying cycle (Settings
menu), then start an empty
cycle.
Leave the door open at a 10°
angle, if Bob is not in use.
No maintenance cycle has
been run for more then 90
cycles.
Run a maintenance cycle at
least once every 90 cycles with a
rock'n'roll cassette. (see page64)

All components are available for 10 years after the date of purchase of Bob.
If you have a problem with a component of your Bob, please contact the Daan
Tech Customer service.

IMPORTANT:
In case a Daan Tech technician confirms that you need to return your Bob to us
for analysis and repair, follow these steps:
If possible, drain your Bob completely with the emptying cycle (settings
menu) Otherwise, flip Bob around
1. Otherwise, empty your Bob (especially the tank) in the sink or shower.
2. Reuse the original packaging and bag to return Bob to us. Unless
otherwise instructed by our Daan Tech customer service (in written
from: e-mail, SMS, etc...) you are not allowed to use any other
packaging.
3. Use tape to close the package.
4. Print and paste the RETURN VOUCHER on the package (which is sent
to you by email)
5. You will be informed of the progress of the repair of your Bob.
