Problems
Identify the problem in the left-hand column and follow the instructions on the right:

Abnormal noise levelsfrom
the unit.
Fan Step 4 is running (only
intended for shorter peri-
ods of use).
Turn the unit down to Fan
Steps 1, 2 or 3 or activate
Automatic On-Demand
Mode.
The filter is blocked.
Check and change filter, if
required.
The installation has not been
carried out correctly. The air
duct may be partially
blocked.
Check that the ducts have
been mounted correctlyand
that they are not blocked.
Adjust airflow, see the sec-
tion on how to adjust the
unit.
The unit has not been ad-
justed correctly.
The unit is not cooling suf-
ficiently.
The unit is an HCV 4, which
has no built-in bypass
module.
The unit is functioning cor-
rectly.
The outside air may be heat-
ed up before entering the
house.
If required, move the inlet
grille to the north side of
the house.
The temperatures are ex-
ceeding the established lim-
its that must be met to
achieve cooling by means of
bypass. See also the Set
Points and Control Strate-
gies section
Press the manual bypass to
achieve cooling for the next
6 hours.
The bypass damper has be-
come jammed or the damper
motor is defective.
Check the bypass module
and replace the bypass mo-
tor if required.
