Troubleshooting guide, continued
Identify the problem in the left-hand column and follow the instructions on the right:
Unstable operation, with
wide variation in air flow
rates.
The unit is probably set to
Automatic On-Demand
Mode, which will vary the air
flow as required in the house
and the relative humidity in
the outside air.
The unit is not defective.
It is recommended that you
set the unit to Manual Op-
eration and choose the ap-
propriate fan step (usually
Fan Step 3). It is not advis-
able to operate at air flow
rates below the statutory
rate required for the house
as this may result in the
risk of damage from damp
and reduced air quality.
The house is becoming un-
necessarily dry.
The unit may be running
with too high a level of air
replacement for the size
and use of the house.
Check that the unit's air flow
is appropriate to the size and
use of the house by checking
the unit's air flow according
to the initial adjustment pro-
cedure.
The unit has been manually
set to operate with the
nominal air replacement
(Fan Step 3) in Manual
Mode. Very dry indoor cli-
mates occur particularly in
winter when the outside air
is very dry.
Set the unit to Automatic
Mode or turn the unit down
to Fan Step 2 or 1 in Manu-
al Mode.
Using Fan Step 2 or 1
is only recommended for a
short period of time.
