Chapter 2: Installing the
Hardware Components
This๎chapter๎provides๎stepโbyโstep๎instructions๎for๎installing๎physical๎
components,๎power๎cords,๎and๎cables๎of๎the๎SR200๎&๎SR300๎card๎printers๎
and๎optional๎LM200๎&๎LM300๎laminators.
Installing the Components
Use๎the๎following๎procedures๎to๎connect๎the๎optional๎laminator๎to๎the๎card๎printer,๎and๎to๎install๎
the๎card๎hopper๎and๎the๎card๎stacker๎to๎the๎printer๎or๎laminator.
Connecting the Laminator
Use๎the๎provided๎joining๎plate๎to๎connect๎the๎laminator๎(if๎used)๎to๎the๎card๎printer.
1. Place๎the๎printer๎on๎the๎work๎
surface๎with๎the๎joining๎plate๎
attached.
2. Mount๎the๎laminator๎over๎the๎
holes๎on๎the๎joining๎plate.
The๎infrared๎ports๎on๎the๎printer๎
and๎laminator๎must๎be๎aligned๎for๎
the๎laminator๎to๎work.
Make sure to install both units on a secure, level surface. Make sure the laminator and the
printer fit securely into the joining plate holes.
Caution:๎Make๎sure๎that๎the๎power๎switch๎is๎turned๎off๎and๎the๎power๎cord๎is๎detached๎
from๎the๎receptacle๎before๎connecting๎or๎disconnecting๎the๎laminator.๎Otherwise,๎
electric๎shock,๎fire,๎or๎malfunction๎of๎the๎product๎might๎occur.
