INDICATIONS ON POWER SUPPLY AND BEHAVIOUR OF THE LINE-
ARRAY SYSTEM
Please bear in mind that the system's power supply,
with a correct source and wiring sizing, affects the
correct operation of the modules and the system.
1. The current supplied to the line-array
module behaves dynamically (i.e. rst start-
up, idle condition, full range operation).
2. There are voltage drops due to cable length and cross-
section. Generally these drops are directly proportional to the
length and inversely proportional to the cable cross-section.
It is highly recommended to:
• Size the cable for maximum 5% voltage drop. For all
the possible sections, use power supply cables with
cross-section with a diameter greater than 4 sq.mm.
• When the systems use subwoofers, a 208Vac phase-
phase special distribution is recommended, if
allowed by the country's safety regulations.
