MAN-PTS-GB, Revision 9, BSC, 15-FEB-2017 22/46
1 Earthing between filter and
cover: delivered and
mounted by DEC
2 If necessary, mount
earthing strips (earthing
through screw connections
already made).
3 Earthing of the butterfly
valve (delivered by DEC
but not mounted on the
PTS).
9) Measure the electrical continuity to monitor and validate the entire earthing of the PTS
system and all equipment adjacent to the PTS system;
10) Connect the installation pneumatically with the control panel. Supply compressed air to the
panel (please refer to the pneumatic diagram supplied in the technical documentation);
It is imperative to respect the size of the connection and pneumatic tubes indicated
in the drawings. Standard pneumatic tubes for the connection of the valves have a
diameter of 8/6 mm.
Pressure supply to the panel has to have a diameter of at least 10 mm inside.
The length of the pneumatic tubes should not exceed 10 m.
11) Connect the vacuum valve V3 to the PTS cover either directly or with a flexible hose;
The vacuum and pressure valves must be installed in proximity of the PTS cover, max.
distance of 2m. The diameter of the connecting hoses should be respected
according to the specifications in the technical documentation.
Make sure that the vacuum pump corresponds to the required vacuum parameters
of the selected PTS (suction capacity and end vacuum).
We recommend installing a safety filter in the vacuum line in order to protect the
vacuum pump.
12) Connect the pressure valve V4 to the PTS cover either directly or with a flexible hose;
