MAN-PTS-GB, Revision 9, BSC, 15-FEB-2017 25/46
A discharge time which is too low can provoke operating problems. Adjust this timer
at a value superior to 5 s.
3) Adjust the discharge time in a way that, at the opening of valve V2, the entire powder
quantity in the PTS chamber is discharged without excessive dust creation. The typical range
is around 0,8 – 1,2 bar. For very sticky products, the discharge pressure can be increased until
to 2 bar;
A discharge pressure which is too low can lead to a clogging of the PTS membrane
and a partial emptying of the PTS chamber. The discharge pressure should be
adjusted at a value of at least 0,8 bar..
4) Note the selected value in the table below:
range
Initial
adjustment
Selected
adjustment
Date Name

For future adjustments, the same procedure as described above should be
followed. The selected values and all modifications should be kept in writing. This
should facilitate the adjustment of the parameters of the unit after a long shutdown
or the finding of the default adjustments in case of operating problems.

1) Carry out the basic checks:
• Air supply to control panel;
• Earthing;
• Fixation and tightness of the components;
• Compressed air or nitrogen supply;
