What to do if Defender DVR hard drive fills up too quickly?
    • E
      eodomSep 13, 2025
If the hard drive of your Defender DVR fills up too quickly, consider lowering the video quality, as higher quality settings consume more space. Additionally, adjust your recording schedule or resolution. If you're recording 24/7, the hard drive will fill up faster. Try switching periodically to motion-activated recording.

Why I cannot view Defender 21000 DVR through a remote Internet connection?
    • P
      Paul RuizAug 25, 2025
If you cannot view your Defender DVR through a remote Internet connection, port forwarding may not be set up correctly, or the external IP address of the DVR may have changed. Try setting up a DDNS account to stay connected with the latest IP information. The ISP may be blocking port 80, so try changing the HTTP Port to 8080 and reconfigure the port forwarding.

      April GarciaSep 14, 2025
If you are unable to view all or some cameras on the monitor connected to your Defender DVR, ensure the cameras are properly connected to both the back of the DVR and a power source. If you're using a 4-to-1 power connector, verify it's correctly plugged into a power source and each camera. Also, check the Camera Setup in the main menu to ensure none of the cameras are turned off.

Why won't the night vision turn on my Defender DVR camera?
    • A
      Antonio AllenSep 23, 2025
If the night vision on your Defender DVR camera will not turn on, it is likely because the sensor detects sufficient light. Night vision activates automatically when the sensor detects a lack of light. If your cameras are in a space with too much light, the night vision will not engage.

Check under Record Setup in the main menu to ensure all the cameras are set to ON. Verify your record schedule to ensure the DVR is set to record during that hour. Also, verify that the HDD is installed and formatted in the device menu.

Why is the video choppy when viewing live footage online on my Defender DVR?
    • R
      Ryan RyanAug 31, 2025
If the video is choppy when viewing live footage online from your Defender DVR, it could be due to multiple users accessing the DVR simultaneously, which slows down the connection. Try accessing the DVR at a later time. The speed of your internet connection may be too slow. Also, a small time delay between the live footage and the network viewing is normal.
