      A high video quality setting can cause the hard drive to fill up faster. You may want to check your video quality settings and try lowering the video quality. Also, if you are using Schedule Record for 24 hours a day, the hard drive will fill up faster. Try switching periodically to Motion record.

      First, ensure the batteries are installed correctly. Then, make sure you are pointing the remote at the IR sensor. Point the IR Remote at the camera lens and press a button. You should be able to see the IR LED flicker through the DVR monitoring device. If it still doesn’t work, try replacing the batteries in the remote.

      To start recording, press the RECORD button on the remote. Also, go to RECORD ? REC PARA ? RECORD to ensure all cameras are set to ENABLE. Check your record schedule to ensure the DVR is set to record that hour. Verify that the HDD is installed and formatted in the DEVICE menu.

      Sometimes your router will not allow you to view the footage with your external IP address because the DVR is connected to the same router. Try typing the DVR's internal IP address in the address bar. If using a port other than 80, add your port forwarded port to the end of the IP address.

      The DVR is set to run as long as it is plugged in. To power off the DVR, go to ADVANCED ? SHUT DOWN. After that, disconnect the power cable once you see "YOU CAN UNPLUG THE POWER".
