Drive-Status Indicator Pattern Condition
Flashes green twice per second Identifying drive or preparing for removal.
Off Drive ready for insertion or removal.
Note
The drive status indicator remains off until all
hard drives are initialized after the system is
turned on. Drives are not ready for insertion
or removal during this time.
Flashes green, amber, and turns off Predicted drive failure
Flashes amber four times per second Drive failed
Steady green Drive online
Flashes green for three seconds, amber for
three seconds, and turns off after six seconds
Rebuild aborted
Locate the failed drive
After removing the bezel, locate the drive with the blinking LED.
The following table shows the disk layout. The slots are labeled on the server chassis.
