System board jumper settings
For information about resetting the password jumper to disable a password, see the Disabling a
forgotten password section.
To enable the password, fit the jumper on pins 2 and 4. To disable the password, fit the jumper on
pins 4 and 6. To select the configuration settings at the next system boot, fit the jumper on pins 3
and 5. To clear the configuration settings at system boot, fit the jumper on pins 1 and 3.

Jumper Setting Description
PWRD_EN The password reset feature is enabled (pins
2–4).
The password reset feature is disabled (pins
4–6). The iDRAC local access is unlocked at
the next AC power cycle.
NVRAM_CLR The configuration settings are retained at the
next system boot (pins 3–5).
The configuration settings are cleared at
system boot (pins 1–3).
