Removing the system board
Prerequisites
1 Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2 Remove the base cover.
3 Remove the battery.
4 Remove the solid-state drive/Intel Optane memory module.
5 Remove the WLAN card.
6 Remove the left fan.
7 Remove the right fan.
8 Remove the heat sink.
9 Remove the display assembly.
10 Remove the power-adapter port.
About this task
The following image indicates the location of the system board and provides a visual representation of the removal procedure.
NOTE
:
The I/O board connector is located underneath the system board. Turn the system board over and disconnect the I/O board cable
from the system board.
