System board
Removing the System board
NOTE: This system cannot be disassembled further. To access underlying components, replace the base assembly as
per order details.
1.
Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the:
a) Batteries
b) Bottom chassis cover
c) Keyboard
d) PCIe heatsink assembly
e) Docking port assembly
f) Primary SSD
g) Heat Sink
h) Memory
i) WLAN card
j) WWAN card
k) GPS module
l) Primary SSD rail
m) Battery bay
n) Rear I/O board
3. Peel off the tape [1] and disconnect the touch pad connector from the system board [2].
4. Peel off the tape [1] and remove the rear I/O board FPC cable [2] from the system board.
5. Peel off the tape [3] and remove the battery indicator LED cable [4] from the system board.
6. Peel off the tape [5] and remove the docking board FPC connector [6] from the system board.
