System board
Removing the System board
1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the:
a. Batteries
b. Bottom chassis cover
c. Keyboard
d. PCIe heatsink assembly
e. Docking port assembly
f. Primary SSD
g. Secondary SSD
h. Heat Sink
i. Memory
j. WLAN card
k. WWAN card
l. GPS module
m. Primary SSD rail
n. Battery bay
o. Rear I/O board
3. Peel off the tape [1], disconnect and lift the SSD-ODD assembly [2] from the system board.
4. Peel off the tape [3] from touch pad connectors and disconnect it from the system board [4].
5. Open the rear I/O door [1] and remove the two epoxy cap screws from the serial port on the system board [2].
