Removing the Optical Drive
1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Remove the memory door.
4. Remove the screw that secures the optical drive to the computer.
5. Gently lift the metal tab and push the optical drive outward.
6. Slide the optical drive out of the computer.
Replacing the Optical Drive
To replace the optical drive, perform the above steps in reverse order.
