Removing the Smart Card Cage
1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Remove the ExpressCard.
4. Remove the hard drive assembly.
5. Remove the hinge covers.
6. Remove the mini card door.
7. Remove the LED covers.
8. Remove the keyboard.
9. Remove the display assembly.
10. Remove the palm rest.
11. Disconnect the ExpressCard data cable from the system board.
12. Remove the screws that secure the smart card cage to the computer.
13. Lift up the smart card cage and remove it from the computer.
Replacing the Smart Card Cage
To replace the smart card cage, perform the above steps in reverse order.
