Removing the Coin-Cell Battery
1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer.
2. Remove the:
a. base cover
b. battery
c. memory
d. hard-drive assembly
e. keyboard trim
f. keyboard
g. palmrest
3. Perform the following steps to remove the coin-cell battery from the computer:
a. Disconnect the coin-cell battery cable from its connector on the system board [1].
b. Pry the coin-cell battery to remove it from the computer [2].
Installing the Coin-cell Battery
1. Insert the coin-cell battery into its place on the system board.
2. Connect the coin-cell battery cable to its connector on the system board.
3. Install the:
a. palmrest
b. keyboard
c. keyboard trim
d. hard-drive assembly
e. memory
f. base cover
4. Follow the procedures in After Working Inside Your Computer.
