Slide the drive tray to the maintenance position.
a
Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, loosen the captive screw that secures the drive tray
release handle to the chassis. See Figure 1-16
b
Rotate the drive tray release lever toward the front of the system.

While grasping both sides of the front panel, slide the drive tray forward until the tray is
in the maintenance position.
d
Label each hard drive, any optical drives, and devices installed in the media bay with their
location in the chassis.
e
Disconnect any cables from the media bay devices.
f
Remove the hard drives, any optical drives, and devices installed in the media bay from
the system.
